This project aims to strengthen compliance management at established marine reserves and implement the new Port State Measures Agreement. The construction of a radar facility has been completed on Cocos Island National Park. Oceans 5 is supporting four organizations seeking to combat Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing. The project supports the implementation of the European Union IUU Regulation and for taking action to improve transparency in the fishing sector. This project is an advocacy and communications campaign that aims to secure the improved implementation of the EU IUU Regulation by the European Commission and EU Member States.
